* In Chhattisgarh Plain Zone, in view of light to moderate rainfall, drain out excess water from paddy, black gram, green gram and soybean field. In paddy field, to control bacterial leaf blight disease drain out excess water from the field; apply 25 Kg Potash per hectare after 3-4 days. First picking of matured pods should be done in black gram and green gram in clear weather. If leaf caterpillar and girdle beetle is observed in soybean crop, apply Profenophos 50 EC @ 1.25 litre/ha in clear weather.
Animal Husbandry ➢ In Chhattisgarh, cattle shed should be kept well protected from flies to maintain milk production and prevention from diseases.

About Us

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gariyaband is a district level organization of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) which comes under the purview of Indira Gandhi Krish Vishwa Vidyalaya and has been set up with a mandate to transfer advanced agricultural technologies to the farming community of the district. KVK Gariyaband was inaugurated on 4th March, 2012 by Hon’ble Governor Shri Shekhar Dutt . At present only 8 ha. land is available in KVK, Gariyaband. KVK focuses its efforts on the major problems and felt needs of the farming community of the district and also caters to the training needs of the farmers and extension functionaries and facilitates the spread of technology tailored to diverse environment of farmers.
